Interaction Session of Children with Special Needs regading special Education(22nd May 2012)

On 22th of May 2012 an interaction session was organized by the College of Education regarding special Education. The students of B.Ed programme who had opted for the special Education as one of their course paper were the participants. The College administration was keen to have resource persons for driving motivation among more students to opt for the special education paper. The students and the faculty had no idea how to deal with children with special needs. Two resource persons were invited. One among them was the worthy Chairman of our Organization – Javed Ahmad Tak. He presented the basic knowledge of Braille system, Sign language and other skills how to enable children with special needs in government schools. A group of children from Zaiba aapa institute of inclusive education performed few cultural activities and academic skills in Braille and sign language. The whole audience was in tears with the performance of the children. The children with special needs of Zaiba aapa institute of inclusive education made the students and faculty to feel surprised with their academic skills. After the programme the College administration immediately constructed ramps at entry points to ensure the accessibility for wheel chair users.
